Dunskey has been described by Golf World as "The best holiday course in the South of Scotland".

Set on the cliffs above the picturesque village of Portpatrick, a links type course with magnificent views of the Irish Coast, the Isle of Man and the Mull of Kintyre. Wait until you reach the 13th Hole Sandeel and just enjoy the spectacular views. However, don’t be fooled by the scenery when the wind is blowing across the course it can be a great test of your skills. The 9 hole Dinvin Course is adjacent to the Dunskey Course is a must play with a great variety of par 3’s ideal for the learner and the expert to improve and hone their skills.

A very pleasant 9 hole. Good test of golf to players of all abilities. Set in lush
parkland just half a mile from Wigtown centre, the course is a haven for those seeking relaxing golf and a friendly atmosphere. From the 4th tee there are
magnificent views of Wigtown Bay and across the Solway Firth to the Lake District Hills.

The Dumfries and County Golf Club is a privately owned parkland course situated on the outskirts of the town of Dumfries (Scotland) and held the British Senior Ladies Open Amateur Championship in Sep 2006. The County is one of the area’s finest parkland courses and offers fast true greens for all to enjoy. Bordered on one side by the river Nith, it offers spectacular views of the Nith valley and surrounding countryside. The USGA standard greens are the best in the area. Built on eighty-nine acres, it requires a high degree of course management to achieve a par of 69.

Wigtownshire County Golf Club

The "County" Golf Club is a true links course and is situated on the shores of the scenic Luce bay. The excellent condition of the course, combined with subtly sloping greens and changing sea breezes, provide a test of golf for both high and low handicappers.
